Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead the quality assurance system for complex defense projects. The role involves ensuring that manufacturing and development processes align with strict defense customer requirements, maintaining compliance with international standards, and driving continuous improvement processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Standards & Compliance: Spearhead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards. Prepare for and participate in internal and external quality audits.
Project Support (NPI): Define quality requirements during development and transition-to-production phases. Write Quality Plans and build product files according to specific defense customer requirements.
Deviation & Corrective Action Management (CAPA): Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes, manage Material Review Boards (MRB) for non-conforming products, and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure issues do not recur.
Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA): Perform quality audits at supplier and subcontractor sites, approve new suppliers, and oversee incoming raw material inspections.
Defense Customer Relations: Represent the company before quality representatives of defense entities, including submitting quality reports and managing Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP/ATR).
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial Management / Mechanical / Electronics / Quality) – Mandatory.
Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a Defense company or an contract manufactoring for the defense sector.
Standards Expertise: Extensive knowledge and proficiency in AS9100 – Mandatory. Familiarity with soldering and assembly standards (IPC-A-610 / IPC-WHMA-A-620) – Significant advantage.
Quality Tools: Proficiency in quality methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and SPC.
Languages: High-level English (reading and writing technical reports).
Information Systems: Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and MS Office applications.
Personal Skills: Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, assertiveness combined with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead matrix processes.
